Most People Struggle with this... Do You?

Studies consistently show that many people struggle with feeling inadequate. They tend to look down on themselves. Have very low feelings of worth. Usually the culprit has to do with feeling like we just don't measure up well against others in the areas we think important.

In terms of popularity. Or feeling like we have enough money. Or the right things.

The beauty of following Jesus is that He answers that question for us. Let me ask you to consider just one of the ways in which He does this for you.

How do you tend to determine what something is worth? Every time we've gone to sell a home, we've had to try and determine what our home is worth. I'll never forget early on in Michigan, our realtor at the time reminded us, "Your home is worth whatever someone is willing to give you for it AND you're willing to accept."

In other words, what you are willing to pay for an item is what it's worth. So, consider what you are worth to God.... Peter says, Jesus your worth to God is measured in that Jesus gave His life for you. Silver, Gold, Bitcoins, none were enough.

You & I are special to God because He sent His Son to bring us back to Himself! Consider God's opinion of yourself next time you're tempted to beat yourself up.
