Thing One... There's No Thing Two

We've gotten so good at multitasking, doing multiple things at once. The only trouble is that most of us can't do this well. Like Cat in the Hat... we do need to stick to Thing One and not worry so much about Thing Two :-)

Paul knew this. He said in Philippians 3 that his goal was just to do one thing but do it well. He wanted to know Jesus and grab hold of the purpose or reason God had him on earth.

Wow! If we could simply live our lives in such a way as to make much of Jesus! For others to see the real Jesus through our words and actions.

How might we do this? One way is simply invite Him into your day each morning as you rise. Ask God to make you aware of opportunities for your light to shine. Two, is there a pain from your past that you now need to let go? Has someone hurt you and it still lingers? It may be time to forgive.
