What's the best stain remover?

I bet you thought I was talking about what to use to remove those tough stains on clothes? Actually that's no joke, we do need a good cleaner to get rid of kid's spills. To remove stubborn spots from that spilled sauce?

But the "stains" I'm thinking of have more to do with the hurts we experience. What removes those kind of things. Think about it

You might need God's Supernatural Stain Remover if...

• Anyone has stabbed you in the back at work
• Lied about you or gossiped about you to friends
• Someone you trusted betrayed that trust or didn't keep their promise
• Someone took something from you ... it may be money, but might be your dignity or your reputation
• A family member sees the world or politics or faith or morality different that you.

Peter in wrapping up the list of qualities we should grow in as Christians concludes by "adding in Love." Not the feel good thing we often call love. No, Peter calls for us to live out the Supernatural Love of Jesus. . To put His love on display. And the best way we do this is in how respond to those who have hurt us. Are rude, mean or difficult. Peter wrote "Love each other deeply, for love covers a multitude of sins" (I Peter 4:8)

We love because Jesus first loved us (1 John 4:19). On Sunday we'll do a deeper dive into how we can love the difficult people. Until then, if this is something you're facing, what can you do?

Refuse to Get Your Revenge- leave that to God - Romans 12:17-19
Do good as you have opportunity and speak well of them Luke 6:27
Pray that God would allow you to see them the way He sees you Luke 6:28

Loving difficult people isn't easy because it's not natural. It goes against all human logic. It's only the love of Jesus that removes the darkest of stains. Who in your world needs to know about this kinda love?
