100 Days!

100 Days! Seems like a long time... then again not very long at all. In a given year, there are only 3 & 1/2 100 day intervals. What can you possibly hope to accomplish in so little time? Just 100 days... so what really?

100 Days is the time between this Sunday, the day prior to Memorial Day, which is the kickoff to summer and Labor Day, which is typically seen as the end of summer. What can you do of any value this Summer? That's the question? Besides vacation and beach and camping and sun and ball games and soccer games? What can you get done this summer that really matters?

This Sunday we'll honor our graduates! They've accomplished a worthy goal and are excited to move on to the next phase of their life. What can they do over the next 100 days that matters?

I have a friend who has just 31 days til retirement. What can they possibly hope to accomplish over the last month that remains?

What could you do this summer to leave your mark!

• Invest in another friend or family. Be intentional about building or deepening your friendship. Spend intentional time. Once a month.
• Get in God's Word. For 100 days read a portion the Gospel of John every day. Ask God to speak to you as you read! Look for the truths of Jesus that He would have you understand. You will complete the book in 100 days!
• Stop drinking, or smoking, or eating poorly. You could lose 15 pounds in 100 days. What are the habits that you'd like do differently? Habits holding you back for being healthy? Just for 100 days.
• What's something you'd like to get better at? If you spent just two hours a week for the 14 weeks of summer you would have 28 hours towards improving an area of your life. Why not start next Monday?

100 Days - you can do far more than you realize if you'll only consider your legacy - the memory you want to leave behind.
